This egg incubation research is just one way that hatchery we at the hatchery continue to try and improve rearing efficiencies. Fisheries Chief Dennis Unkenholz, Technical Services Chief George Vandel and other Game, Fish and Parks administrators are to be commended for their wisdom and foresight encouraging all of the practical, applied research. These studies enable hatchery staff to innovate and more efficiently produce trout and salmon for the benefits of those who fish in South Dakota.

Tonight we kind of experimented a bit. We put a totally different setup on the car. It just didn't get around as good as it had been. That was the difference I think. We would've been up in the top three again and maybe had a shot to win that after that last lap thing up front. We'd go up top and the car was too tight. The bottom was too loose. The car wasn't comfortable at all. We had fast times but overall weren't as good as we had been. We'll go back to the drawing board for next week. - Mike Barnes
