We've been preaching to the girls that we've been in playoff mode since last Monday (when Rutland went back to practice after defeating cross-town rival Mount St. Joseph). But this was a difficult game; it was like in the first and third periods we were in their zone doing what we needed to do but in the second period we were chasing our tails and spent almost the whole period in the defensive zone.

We wanted to mix things up and bring Kristy into the game. We haven't played a strong team in a couple of weeks and it can get very lonely back there in goal. We saw this as an opportunity to have some fun and maintain morale.
