What I think is so special about this honor is its not so much about the records and championships but how someone has affected others through sports. Its an extremely prestigious award and Im very humble to receive. It goes to all those athletes whove made life worthwhile.

All I have ever wanted to do as a woman was to promote fairness, develop overachievers and give other women the right to fulfill their goals and dreams... This honor helps me realize that even though my efforts have been worthwhile it also reminds me we still have a long way to go.
