Sometimes you just need to send them down to give them a blow mentally, because at the big league level, it can grind on you. You go out there -- it's all about results, period. It's nice once you get to the big leagues, but there isn't any grace period where you get to struggle for a while. It's about results right now, and if you don't do it, there are others that will take your place.

This is a guy who just hasn't been right yet, and mentally to put the kind of pressure we're putting on him every time he goes out there and not getting results, he needs to go down there and pitch a little bit without the pressure of coming into a big league game and always having to have results. He needs to go down there and take some pressure off himself, because he's a talented guy who's going to pitch for the Diamondbacks for a while.
