Every one of my paintings is of some scene or story that I remember when I was a girl. I loved staying with my grandmother and it's mostly things from the time that I spent with her that I paint. It was a simple life then. People took time with one another. Those are some good memories.

I sit in my little corner and paint until, sometimes, late into the night. And I take my time. And I put a cross somewhere in everyone of my paintings. I do that because I thank God for everything. Without Him, I couldn't do any of this.
