I love rom-coms. We grew up on the greatest ones. I would never claim to be the salvation for rom-coms, but I definitely would like to contribute to making them a tiny bit less one-dimensional. Maybe not having the ending you expect. People don't always have to end up getting what they want and living happily ever after. Good rom-coms have some reflection of the way things are, the sign of the times.
