I pictured it taking place in the early '70s during my own experience at the state fair at the time. You know, that kind of white-trashy redneck factor which I have a real weakness for. For me, there's a fine line between telling a story that's fictional with lots of details and then removing yourself too much from it, so it's bloodless, a little too fictional.
