I know him a little bit, and he seemed like a calm, level-headed kid. I was kind of surprised when I saw that. I understand letting your emotions getting the best of you, but I don't know what the rationale is about throwing a bat near or at an umpire, or anywhere on the field for that matter.

Basically I have to throw wherever they put me, and if I'm successful, then hopefully it makes a good impression. It's a win-win situation, I guess. I can go out there and it's going to be a tough situation for me, but if I throw well, hopefully it looks good in their eyes and it helps me in the long run.
