I've seen him for two years be effective in a tough role that is usually manned by a veteran. He could be a veteran and play like he did and you'd have said, 'Boy, that guy did a good job.' To do it as a young player is even more impressive. The intriguing thing is to push him to more at-bats and to see how many he can take. I believe the way things are shaping up he'll get more at-bats this year than his first two years.

Just look at him. He's in great shape. There isn't a thing that has happened to him that has gotten in the way of preparation. I don't know if he's more excited than he's ever been, but he certainly isn't less.
