And when there came to them an Apostle from Allah verifying that which they have, a party of those who were given the Book threw the Book of Allah behind their backs as if they knew nothing.

Shall We treat those who believe and do good like the mischief-makers in the earth? Or shall We make those who guard (against evil) like the wicked? / (It is) a Book We have revealed to you abounding in good that they may ponder over its verses, and that those endowed with understanding may be mindful.

And follow the best that has been revealed to you from your Lord before there comes to you the punishment all of a sudden while you do not even perceive; / Lest a soul should say: O woe to me! for what I fell short of my duty to Allah, and most surely I was of those who laughed to scorn; / Or it should say: Had Allah guided me, I would certainly have been of those who guard (against evil); / Or it should say when it sees the punishment: Were there only a returning for me, I should be of the doers of good.
