I've turned down a few awards too. Being recognized makes you feel good, but I wasn't looking for any awards. I do it for my heart. People were good to me when I was young so I have to pay it back. It's the way I was brought up.

It's rewarding to have a kid who's never played the game and see them dribbling, passing, and shooting three months latersome of them with both handsit's amazing. We start with 20 pushups in the beginning and now we're up to 60. We don't lower the hoop, even for the younger ones, but they get there.
