Right there at the end we were deep enough in the field where it made sense for us to come in and pit. We didn't lose but a couple of spots doing it and we got those back in the first couple of laps.

It was a smooth lap... We basically ran the same lap we ran in practice.it was a solid lap. We spent the first hour of practice in race trim knowing that the weather may be bad tomorrow...we are really happy with it.

[Stewart's top-10 finish came despite handling problems.] As the race went on, we just kept fighting, trying to get the (car's) balance right... But we stayed in the top 10 all day. Most of the beginning of the race we stayed in the top five until we got a little behind, and we just never could really get caught up. But we were able to maintain all day. So it wasn't by any means a disastrous day, but with the big picture I would have liked it to be better.
