Grouping Quotes
You used to be able to say, `OK, if they're blitzing, let's throw the ball to (wide receivers) Mike (Clayton) or Joey (Galloway),' but you can't do that anymore... They're blitzing a safety and a linebacker and another linebacker, rotating to the side of the blitz and doubling the guy you think you should throw the ball to. And they're doing it with numerous personnel groupings.

You hate to let them walk out the door, but it's absolutely unavoidable... We knew what we were coming up to. We didn't wake up after the playoff loss to Pittsburgh and say, 'Oh, [shoot], look where we are with the cap.' We projected where our window was, and where we'd have to regroup. And we're clearly in the regrouping stage. But that regrouping doesn't mean we can't be good this season. We're not capitulating.

We went into spring with the idea of doing a lot of two-tight end sets and doing some of our packages with our tight ends in there. Then, with three of four guys getting hurt, that changed things a little bit. Casey has done a good job of taking every single rep. And we're doing a lot more four-receiver set stuff to rest him. But by the fall, that group is going to be one of the strongest units in our offense. They have experience and talent combined. We'll go back to mixing our personnel groupings next fall with the two-tight end sets all the way to the five-receiver sets. We feel real good about those guys.
