I don't particularly put myself in a bad place just so that I can write. It's not like that at all. I try to live a good life and some of the songs are reflective of that too. I certainly wouldn't describe a lot of the songs as being angry.

Things really stepped up for us over here after that tour. And it's funny, because up to that, things were really grooving along the records were on sale and in stores, and everything was moving along really nice but then we did the Damien Rice tour, and it opened up this whole new audience to us. It put us on a whole different level. Well, not a level, but a whole different place with a new audience, which I kind of found exciting and a little bit strange.
