The only thing we can think of is they were dumped here by the glaciers when the continental ice sheet melted away in this area 11,000 years ago.

If these meteorites fell on the ice sheet, they would have to have been on Earth for 12,000 years or longer. We now have to make a plan for the Prairie Meteorite Search to further investigate the region next summer and I expect Manitoba could well become Canada's pre-eminent meteorite province during 2006.
