It's a lot tougher, right from the get-go. It's all uphill on Genesee Street and to Oneida Square and up Oneida Street. Then you have a gradual incline (along the Parkway). That's the flattest part of the course, but it isn't long.

The four of us ran together in the Paul Revere (Brych won the Rome 5K in 16:22, within six seconds of the course record). I'm hoping I'll have a better time. I don't know if I'll have a better place (than the others), but with the four of us pushing each other, I should definitely have a better time than last year.
